About Sath Shukla

Sath Shukla is an experienced executive whose career has focused on building, financing, and guiding biotechnology companies through periods of growth, transition, and strategic change.

Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Spero Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on infectious disease drug development. Prior to that, he held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Spero and earlier served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Ziopharm Oncology.

Earlier in his career, Sath spent several years at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where he was Vice President and Global Head of Corporate Finance. In that role, he worked closely with executive leadership on financial strategy, long-range planning, capital allocation, and investor engagement during a period of significant company growth.

Before joining operating companies, Sath worked in economic and financial consulting at firms including Cornerstone Research, LECG, and Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, advising on valuation, strategy, and complex financial matters across multiple industries, including life sciences.
